2012
I helped coordinate two National Board sessions during my first year, each of which lasted three days and gave necessary resources, materials, and instruction to 50 teachers seeking National Board certification. With each of these sessions, I created personalized binders with all of the necessary information and activities each participants would need throughout the week and next year. I created itinerary-style programs for each of these sessions so that all participants were on track with activities. I also helped arrange lodging and set up each room on location, as well as greeted and registered participants upon arrival. I was responsible for providing all facilitators with necessary resources, such as office supplies, computers, and projectors.
2013
In 2013, the National Board session was condensed into just one three day session instead of two separate sessions, which made it slightly easier to coordinate. I still created nearly 100 different binders specialized to each participant depending on their grade level and area of certification. I also took several weeks to reorganize and recreate the separate Activities binder, which had been copied so many times that many pages were no longer legible. I found many of these documents online, but many had to be typed from scratch, ending with a binder with a total of over 200 pages so that each participant would have a fresh copy to use and work with during the session. I created new schedule booklets for candidates to reference during the session. I still assisted with lodging, set up, registration, coordination, and clean up of this session, including packing and setting up computers, projectors, and other office supplies for each facilitator. At the end of the week, I was responsible for collecting evaluations of our session and inputting these into the computer system to be analyzed later.
2014
Because the National Board Certification process was changed in 2014, we decided not to hold a three day session like we had previously, and instead held a one day awareness session for those interested teachers. For this session, I gathered some previously used materials and some of the new materials distributed by the National Board and compiled this into one packet. Approximately 75 teachers attended this session.
Prior to the awareness session, we held a National Board Support session for those already certified to learn about the revisions so that they could properly prepare their mentees and others in their regions who hoped to become certified. For this, we collaborated with a National Board representative. I attended the one-day session to record the discussion and questions and answers for future reference.

2015
This year began with a better understanding of the new National Board process, so the WVCPD again held another three-day session to teach prospective participants about the requirements for this certification. I again created all of the necessary materials and adapted previous activities based on suggestions from facilitators.
